Default Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors

Hi,

I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab. One of the tire pressure monitor sensors cracked off. I have found a few on ebay but the FCC ID is slightly different.

Th FCC ID that came off mine is: PAXPMV1037. The TPMS that I found on ebay are: PAXPMV1017.

If I installed only the one that broke will the Tire Pressure Monitor light on my dash go off. Or are they incompatible?

Thanks,
Paul

your trucks ecm must have the new tpms sensors numbers programmed in it for it to function. The worry about the ebay item is it may or may not work.

Once you get the new you will need the serial number off it for the dealer to program in the ecu.Or they will charge you to break down tire to get the numbers.I got this done when i got my 20's.It doesn't matter what the numbers are its the angle of the sensor.I have the five that came out of mine they are from the steel wheels. From what i've seen all the steel wheel sensor are interchangeable.Like the alloys are so make sure you get some that came out of the same kind of wheel steel to steel and alloy to alloy

Ground the Pink wire? Where's the pink wire? (is this like the gray wire mod for allowing the rear diffs to be locked any time? 2wd/4wd high/ 4wd low)

get access to your tpms computer(it wil say tpms), by removing your glove box you will find it between the glove box and radio, kind of hard to get in there but one you get to it disconect the plug and just tap into the pink wire with small silver bands and ground the wire to any bolt .and light will be gone imediately

One of my sensors went out too. I just put a small picture of my niece in front of the light.
