1Gen-TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2000 to 2006 Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "2000 - 2006 Tundra bench question", within the 1Gen-Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
hey all. I bought a bench on ebay to replace my captains chairs in a 2001 Tundra access cab. Installed the bench and realized they shipped it without the male end of the center lap belt. Ordered replacement belt at dealership ($40--surprisingly affordable).
Now, wondering...where/how does the male side of the front, center lap belt bolt down to secure it?
I scoured old posted on "bench swap" = no luck. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Pics would be a cause for celebration.
Thanks in advance!

If you can't find any info here (although highly unlikely), it may be worth a trip to a used car lot to take a look at stock bench setup. Not sure about your area, but you can't throw a rock without hitting a car lot around here, and a good majority of them have a Tundra or two.
I sure with that'd work. I wen to one Toyota used truck lot yesterday...and two more today. I saw about 10 Tundras 2000 - 2006. Sadly, all had captains chairs.
I'm still hoping someone on here with a bench will run out and check how their center, front lap belt connects to the floor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

look in here towards the end and see if you can figure it out, it shows the seatbelts but i am not familiar with bench seat either! Hope it helps and GL!
You are lucky I'm really bored and the kids are asleep! I just went to the garage and looked at my seat belts. The male end of the center lap belt is bolted into the floor of the cab on the driver's side of the seat. Mine is a split bench,so the belt comes up between the driver's seat and the passenger's seats and there is a flat metal flange that is secured to the cab floor by one hardened bolt (oriented towards the passenger side) and the "eye" part of the hardware goes up at an angle towards the front of the cab for about 6". The theaded securing "bolt hole" in the cab floor is about two inches over from the right driver's seat mount. The belt is looped into the eye. I didn't look at the terminal end of the belt to see how it's fastened. I'm not going back out there because it's still dang hot in there and I don't want to sweat in my PJ's!!! So there you go, one male lap belt mystery solved.
