Default Air conditioning question

I have a 2006 access cab V6 with around 30K miles. Lately I have been noticing the a/c seems to be functioning poorly (coolish air from the vents, relay clicking every few seconds in the dash and the compressor cycling on and off) I figured it was low on Freon since last fall a deer decided it liked the front end better then I did. Needless to say the a/c coil had to be replaced and the system recharged. I took it back to the body shop yesterday to have them check it out. They said they had found a leaking fitting, tightened it and recharged the system. Well it blows cooler air now but I still find that the system appears to be cycling on and off ever 9-10 seconds @~1800rpm and about every 30 seconds at idle. Is this normal? I seem to recall all of my other cars compressors always running as long as the a/c was on. I just worry about trashing a clutch on the compressor with all of this on and off action. It looks like the shop re-used the smaller lines to and from the dryer canister (I am no HVAC tech but I believe that is what the small black canister is mounted on the front of the radiator support). They are a little less then elegant since they had to be bent back into shape but do not appear to have any severe kinks that would impede coolant flow.

Flowing are my temperature readings at the center vents at low fan with re-circulation off:

~1800rpm (unit will cycle every 9-10 seconds)
88.5 degrees outside air: 45.8deg to 56deg
71.5 degrees outside air: 42.8deg to 54deg

Idling (unit will cycle about every 20-30 seconds)
71.5 degrees outside air: 45.5deg to 62.7deg

Am I being to overly concerned about this or does something still not seem to be working properly?

Thanks

IMO from the temperatures that you list it seems to me that the system is still undercharged abit. The Body shop that performed the repairs may have goofed up when they recharged the system, e.g. not pulling the system down to a vacuum, and leaving air in the system, not filling the system with the correct charge of R134a. If it were my truck i would have an HVAC shop check it out, Body shops are not "the best" at A/C repairs.
