Default Bilstein 5100 rear shocks.

I have an 02 TRD V8 tundra limited and it has the yellow bilstein shocks in the rear. If I install the Bilstein 5100 shocks in the rear will the rear seem stiffer than stock??

It might stiffen it up a little bit. I just put the 5100's on the rear of my truck, but my stock TRD yellow/blue bilsteins had 83K on them and I am running an AAL. So the rear was really stiff and shocks did little.

My back end is now rides much smoother and it is much more stable. So it is hard for me to judge because the AAL makes the ride stiff.

my aal is NOT stiff at all. Rides just the same as stock, to me i even feel like it rides alittle better maybe.

wouldnt know yet but I have new rear Bilsteain installed next Tue so i'll report my finding's. I have the 5100 up front 2.4 inch lift (love them) but the rear's are factory with a 1.5 inch block from wheeler's.

4 wheel part's had them on special for $78 each Not too bad because it retails for more.. Mine are getting shipped to me sat and installed for $22 for the rear (i have a 50 percent off install from 4 wheel part's special for a new store opening )

While folks are actually replying to a search subject that numbers in the hundreds, yet getting any questions answered requires some serious reading

are the 5100s any different /worse/better with weight, like lets say the full GVWR (just as an ie) weight or are they just valved for off road speed and larger articulations?
I guess I'm asking if for weight bearing applications, ranching stuff, would one be better with the "stock HD" bilsteins that come with the TRD's over 5100's IMHO appear to be much more "high speed-log drag" but not necessarily "bullet proof"
