Question What is your Tundra's MPG averaging?

Howdy Gang!

There have been scattered postings regarding the MPG that the Tundras are getting.

So I thought I would start a thread for an open discussion on it in the Main.

My average was around 17, but after I put on the TRD exhaust I am getting in the neighborhood of 15.5 MPG. This may be because I seem to put my foot into it more for that rumble.

Ok, what is your averaging MPG on your Tundra?

Dan

I've only put gas in mine once, but calculated from the dealers' "full tank" at delivery, I got 15.3 mpg. I've only got 490 miles on my Tundra so far, and I still have well over 1/2 tank so I won't be able to calculate my mileage again for another week or so.

I've been keeping track of mine since new. I've only been above 20 MPG on (3) tanks, but have an average of 16.84 MPG for 34,000 miles. Short trips kills mine worse than anything else.

12-14 mpg with TRD S/C, headers, exhaust! Not too bad, considering the return of ample power on demand.

Last tank was 13.7 on my 4x4 with mostly stop and go driving. The higher mileage posts must be 4x2's.

Sequoia but I will post for posterity:

My '01 would get 14mpg City and around 17mpg local highway. High was just over 20 on a trip from Texas to Tennessee....heat of summer with the AC on and 70mph +

The '03 only has 2500 miles but so far is averaging 13 mpg city. Highway (local) has only gotten as high as 15mpg.

On the first tank, right at 17mpg, mostly highway (I don't live NEAr anything...). The second tank was pulling a two-bike trailer down to the Hill Country and it dropped to 14.

Hey Possum! How does the TRD sound? (I know, it's a subjective question...) Duals? If there was no mileage improvement, would a cat-back setup from "Fred and Beverly's Bait and Muffler Shop" be just as good for a lot less $$$?
