Default OEM versus True Flow filters

I need to replace my drop-in filter and wanted some advice. I did a search on this topic but it came up with CAIs, and not just plain drop-ins.

Right now I am using a fram (which most people here say don't use that "crap"). I used a K & N before and everybody seems to dislike those. Should I get a regular OEM from Toyota or a Trueflow? There are roughly the same price. Anybody notice any performance differences with trueflow?

i love my trueflow drop in i have had it for about a year and once i put it in the truck ran better, not like noticeably faster but sounded better and started quicker.

Trueflow is the one non-OEM drop-in air filter I've tried that does not seem to reduce low-end torque. My test is to drive my 34 mile commute over rolling hills with cruise control on and check the number of downshifts. Of course I did this over a period of weeks to allow for any ECU adjustment. The K&N drop-in created more downshifts and poorer fuel mileage than any of the others.

So far sounds like the way to go for a drop in aftermarket filter
