1Gen-TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2000 to 2006 Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "New 06 Lift, Wheels, and Tires", within the 1Gen-Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
It a tiny bit more FIRM. I wouldnt say "harder" because when you do hit something its very smooth and feels like it handles the compression better. The wife didnt say anything about the ride (that might be a better indicator)
Sounds like our trucks are going to look very similar
p.s. that link is dead

I bought the rims and tires because I wanted the deal. I put them in storage. I had to make my truck payment (these wont ever end) so when I get paid next week I'll finish off the project.

What size tires are you planning on running with your 5100's? I am thinking 265/75/16??
sorry I missed your question. I think with that tire would be just right from what I've read on the forum. You'll be a little over stock hight so you will need to adjust with a Truespeed or get the dealer to adjust the odo and speedo. The folks I've seen with that tire fill the wheel well very nicely.

The truck looks good! I love black wheels and they look really great with that color truck

Yeah the rear fits fine with no adjustments. People who do the lift block in the back do it because on the top notch the front is ever so slightly higher than the rear. But I like that look.
Socal Dessert Runner. The 5100 rears wont raise the back at all. They have a longer stroke but wont lift at all.
The 5100s top notch and 4.5 bs let the tires fit. I havent really flexed the suspesion yet so I cant say there is NO rubbing, but driving around for the past 4 days I've only got rub on the little mudflaps when in reverse. So those come off this weekend (3 bolts). Visually the tires arent even close to anything else
+ Rep all around, how about a little in return
