Rear cup holder removal

I got a 2001 Tundra A/C.

I was wondering what I have to do to remove the fold down cup holder thing in the back seat? I took a look at it myself when I had my back seat out the other day and couldn't figure it out.

Just don't flip it down?

Thats not the problem. I want to take it out so I can try and fit a sub in the space.

so you want to put a sub in between the where the cup holders would be. got yah. There should be a hinge of some sort attached on the top part of the seat that connects to the cup hold. But don't quote me on this. I've had the rear seats out several times but I never played with the cup holders. you have to take a peek into the back part of the bench seat by cutting it.

Whenever I had it out and was looking at it. It has a bar that runs through the bottom and goes through the seat and I didn't see a way to unhinge it or anything of that sort.
Ill try looking at an exploded view and see if I can come up with something.
