Tundra DC 4WD Alignment - Pulling Rt.

Hello Everyone,

I have had a problem with my 05 Tundra DC 4WD ever since I bought it from the dealer. when I first bought it, I had to take it back 3 times for severe pulling to the right while driving straight. The dealer said they were having problems with their alignment machine and the length of the truck.

It turns out they had the alignment all screwed up, and my factory tires lasted only 12,000 miles before needing replacement. I finally took my truck to a 'real' alignment shop when I bought new tires. They aligned it much better, and the pulling reduced a lot, but it still pulls slightly.

I did notice excessive wear on the outside edge of the front drivers side tire. Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of the pulling and tire wear?

The bad thing is that when you get abnormal tire wear, it may pull even with correct alignment. I would rotate back to front.

If you have the printout sheets for alignments they are within specs or they are NOT? If not they should buy you tires, and i would call corporate and open a case against the dealership but give the Public Relations Manager at Dealership time to fix issue if they do not file claim! Numbers do not lie! post some of your alignment sheets and i promise you someone here will help!

I had same issues and they would not fess up tires but did do road force for free on my new tires at no charge! Rims good 1 tire bad! my issue was worn suspension parts and it was bad steering rack, upper and lower ball joints!

Post or send me your specs.. we use a Hunter machine and I align my own truck. FWIW Caster will cause pull but no tire wear. Toe in will cause a feathered wear on the outside of the tire. Run your hand lightly over the tire it will feel like fish scales. Toe wear is typically JUST the very outer edge of the tire, 1 to 2". Camber wear will run across the face of the tire and will be really smooth. Typically camber wear is on the inside but on rare ocassions in really f#cked up alignments the outside will wear due to excessive positive camber (most vehicles specs call for negative)
