1Gen-TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2000 to 2006 Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Accessory power outlets won't work", within the 1Gen-Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I just upgraded from an 06 Access Cab Taco to an 06 DC Tundra. I love this truck! The only issue I have with it right now is neither one of the power outlets on the passenger side or the one in the back of the center console is working. The cig lighter one works fine. I went though the book and checked every fuse that I thought could be related to them but everything was good. Anyone have any ideas? I need to be able to run my GPS and charge my phone.
I'm looking at the wiring diagram right now for an 06 DC, and the only fuse that is in the circuit for the power outlets is the 15A PWR OUTLET fuse which is in the drivers side fuse box, under the dash. Access Cab or regular cabs me be different, but this is the only fuse in an 06.

Dont know why the set up would be any different on the 06 than the 02 etc. The cig fuse is in that panel you are talking about under the driver-side dash. Look under your hood bro, there will be a black fuse box in front of your brake reservoir open it up and you will find the accessory outlet fuses. There will be two of them 15A each.
Could always run new wires cause you might have pinched wire or a wire got pulled out of an harness somewhere, i always wish mine stayed on when i turned the truck off.

Try pulling out the ACC relay and jumping terminals 3 & 5. This eliminates the coil side of the relay. The ACC relay is on the back side of the junction block (fuse block) under the driver's side of the dash.
The 02 and 06 are completely different. The 02 uses one fuse (ACC) for the cig. lighter and the power outlets. The power outlets use a relay, the lighter does not. The 06 used 2 different fuses (CIG and PWR OUTLET) and an ACC relay just for the power outlets.
