If you want improved lighting install driving lights or buy/build a heavy duty harness and install slightly higher wattage bulbs. I made my own harness and installed high efficacy bulbs and my lights work great.
Make sure your headlamp lenses are clean and clear with the use of a restoration kit. And finally make sure your headlamps are properly aimed, a small but often overlooked detail.

Exactly. What people who do these "conversions" don't realize is that they are:
1. Decreasing the ability to see colors properly (CRI issues)
2. Throwing off more unusable light which creates safety/glare problems for other drivers
3. Distorting their depth perception
3. Shifting the refracted color spectrum more towards the "blue" light which KILLS you in rain, fog, overcast, etc.
4. Arguing their point by saying that the are using more "natural, closer-to-sunlight" light, which is BAD BAD for your eyes during nighttime driving WHEN YOU ARE USING THE HEADLIGHTS TO BEGIN WITH.
I hope more members read up on the REAL issues surrounding HID kits BEFORE they drop $$$ on something that is a problem all around.
