Well I did a "STUPID" and ran into a light pole. Where can I get a replacement bumper that's already painter in silver metallic for a 2006 tundra? I'll also need a headlight assembly and the metal piece under the headlight.
if you are just looking for a headlight and a bumper cover, dont claim it. Headlights can be found on ebay for like 100 bucks a side, and bumper covers are a dime a dozen.

The glass from the light dented and scratched my hood in several spots. Also the metal piece right under the light is bent from the bumper. I spoke with my insurance and they said I had a year to claim it if I want but my insurance could go up any wheres from 5% to 20% on both my truck and the wife's car....NATIONWIDE for ya.
Anyways, I have a decision to make when I getback home.
$1,857.00 worth of damage!!! Now to claim or not to claim....that is the question!!!
With that kind of claim I'd just get an ARB bumper and show another light pole, car, rear bumper whos boss if it ever happens next time. Because if you ever pull a "stupid again youre going to be in this same almost 2K worth of damage or way worse next time being the stupid in all of us sneaks out for a look next time costing you big time.
Do the claim , and get and ARB bumper.
I'm attatching ctures for you. The benefit of the upgraded bumper also besides frontal crash protection is the fact everyone WILL get out of your lane eventually seeing what is in their rear view mirror behind them.
If the bumper is a little more than the cost of the stock replacement you can just pay the difference. Most insurance companies will let you do this and I have seen many people that have upgraded damaged pieces of their car/truck with something better tham OEM, and why wouldn't you??? Unless you want to be in the same scenario later or when you sell the truck if you ever do put someone else into the same situation you are now. Thats how I look at. Everyone comments me on my ARB bumper. Everyone. They think it looks B@d@ss and it is.

If you're insurance rates go up after the current one expires , JUST go to another insurance company. Find the best rate through some insurance businesses that find the best rates based on what all you want included and can afford. That is all I did after an accident. Nothing says you have to stay with an insurance company after you file a claim. And other insurance companies will be more than happy to offer you much better deals than Nationwide. "They are not on your side" if they jack the rates up. Even with such a small claim like this.
