Default Looking at a 04 Tundra

Hello All.

My Name is Norm.

This is my first post here and looking for some advice.
We are currently looking at purchasing an 04 Tundra with 127,00 km on it. It drives well, but when we returned to the lot and shut the truck off took the key out and the truck started to roll backward. I didn't realize it, but it was in reverse. I am assuming that is not normal, is this a truck we should avoid buying? Or is it something simple to fix?

Thanks

Well, yes but I didn't expect it to with the truck turned off and the key in my hand. That is what I am wondering. Is that something really bad with this truck?

Ohhh, haha.
I re-read your post and it makes more sense. Nothing is wrong other than your key slot is worn out. In my old tundra, I could remove the key while in gear.
In reverse, the truck does roll with the contour of the ground.

The way it is supposed to work is that you can only remove the key in park and you cannot move it out of park without a key in the ignition. I wouldn't sweat it.

.....

Serioiusly?

IF a truck is off, and you put it in reverse, and you are on a hill; it WILL roll backwards. its called PARK for a reason.
