Default V-led Load Resistor Installation

I invite your guidance and suggestions regarding installation of V-led load resistors for the brake/tail lights and rear turn signals on my '04 LTD DC.

V-led's "instructions" are less than useless. Where do I mount the load resistors?---somewhere on the frame beneath the truck near the rear wiring harness? That's my only guess.

I appreciate your assistance.

Why are you installing the resistors? I just did all the interior/ exterior lights on my 06' DC and didn't use any resistors. Did you purchase the replacement flasher for led's? If so you don't need any resistors.

I got the resistors because V-led told me I needed them.

I may just send all this crap back to V-led and ask for a refund. I thought I was getting a simple plug-and-play set of lights. I mean ... how complex is changing a light bulb?

Color me displeased.

No load resistors needed! you must have looked at my previous thread for my LED conversion. I have no clue why the owner is saying you need a load resistor..?. He has a 07 CrewMax and it basically uses the same wiring as our 1st gen tundras. So thats weird. All you need to do is make sure you order the correct LED for the bulb you are replacing for like size. and if you do change the turn signals, you WILL need to buy a Toyota flasher component to stop the hyper-flashing. Get a 2 LED one if you are doing just the back blinkers, or a 4 LED one if you replace the front turn signals as well. The front turn signal blinkers just came out about a month ago. My buddy and I had the prototype ones to test and we got it to work with the SWACK wiring. REMEMBER!! You need to buy the SWACK type LED blinkers for your front signals, any other model of LED with blow your fuse everytime. and dont forget the flasher box, make sure its the Toyota one as there are many other flasher boxes for LEDs, Toyota uses a different one! If anyone needs a 2 LED flasher box, I do have my older one i can sell. I had the 2 one cuz i only had my back turn signals converted over, and then the NEW fron turn signals came out so I had to update to the 4 LED one, so if anyone needs my old 2 LED one ,let me know! I am in the Palm Springs area, you can pick up or i can possibly ship!
