Ok, so here's one that i don't think anyone knows about we actually have, at least '05 DCs and up, Downhill Acceleration Control. Just hit the brakes twice in relatively quick succession while descending hill, and if the ECU determines that DAC should be engaged the engine will downshift. No light will come on but you will definitely know.

I learned in my '03 AC SR5, there is a factory alarm system installed, it just needs to be activated by removing a jumper plug. There is no fancy flashing light, but the alarm functions when you test it as the owners manual dictates.

Actually you can just put your foot on the brake no two push needed and yes its a very nice function when towing a load.

when i bought my truck i didnt know it had an open diff
then i found out it had the transmission cooler/tow pakage
then i found out it had defective ball joints but toyota replaced them as a recall.
BUT THEN.... one night i woke up and went to my garage only to find my tundra was getting busy with my corvette! cant blame it, corvettes are sexy but cheap and mostly plastic. just like a lot of hot chicks! plus the vette had her top off so she was askin for it.

Just found out, about a month into owning my 06 DC, when i was leaving a friends house that if you hit the unlock button on your remote once ( i guess its once i was only unlocking it for myself so..) after a minute or so the truck will lock itself back. I unlocked it and was talking with my buddy for a minute before i left and heard it "beep" so went and tested the door and it was locked.

That'sa neat feature.
Works that way in case you accidentally hit the unlock button while keys in pocket, purse, etc, and don't realize that your truck is unlocked out on the driveway.

ps- not implying that you carry a sissy purse

This is my favorite thread. This is like christmas every time i read it. I was thinking about spending a ton of money to buy heated mirrors, which apparently i already have which is amazing. Also, it is much easier to turn the key one time and the truck starts, instead of holding it over there(impresses the ladies too ) I also like the vehicle not locking if the keys are still in it(I still have a bad problem doing this in my 2006 silverado 2500HD). This tundra is amazing. It gets better and better everyday.
