I Have Searched, But Havent Really Found An Answer To My Question.
I Just Got A 05 Tundra, And Am Wanting To Put A Magnaflow Muffler On It. I Know Where To Buy It, We Have A Local Store That Sells Them, But I Need To Know The Inlet I Believe He Said. I've Done Some Searching, And Found Out That 2.5 Is Pretty Good, But Do I Just Walk In And Ask For A Magna Flow Muffler With 2.5 Inlet ? Or Is There Anything Else I Need To Know ?
a good muffler shop can make anything fit. But what you need is a 2.5" magnaflow with a off-set (in) and center (out). The mufflers are reversable so as long as it has that pattern it will be the closest replacement for stock.

hi, just remember they will get louder as time goes on the the inside melts down.
if you want it loud with you stock exhaust buy the smallest they sell.
there is nothing to it, if they are a exhaust shop, let them do what they do, give it time, and you will be extremely happy.

I don't know exactly what the diameter is, but my part number was 11226. It is the 14" and sounds awesome. This is the second one I've had. The first was a 22" which sounded just a gnat's hair louder than the stock muffler. If you look up this part number, it should point you in the right direction as far as offset and diameter.

Your actions speak so loudly, I can't hear what you're saying.
you can go to planetmagnaflow.com and order a lot of stuff there! use discount code theplanet for like a 10% discount!. I just order the smallest muffler I can get there the 14 inch one with single in and dual out for my TRD setup and cant wait to cut out those 2 resonators and put just this bad boy in!!
I Have It Installed. Midas Wanted To Charge Me 150, Well That Was The Quote .. So I Asked My Grandpa To Weld It On, Because I Know He Can, And He Did It Haha
Magnaflow Sounds More Of A "Car" Instead Of A Truck, But It Is Boss Like When You Speed Up Fast, IE Busy Streets, Freeway, Ect
I just had an 18" Magnaflow installed on my 2005 DC last week. I think it will be perfect after the break in. I have only put about 200 miles on it, but it seems to be getting louder. I also got a genuine Magnaflow stainless tip. So far I love it!
hi, no it will be fine. you might have to tighten it up a little down the road.
but give it time, you will love the sound.
i hated mine when it was 1st installed.
it was quiet.
now FORGETABOUT IT!!!
cai, headers, no resinator, magnaflow with dual tail pipe's.
any louder at this point will be way to loud.

Has anyone clamped in their Magnaflow? Any problems with clamping the muffler instead of welding?
No problems with the clamps provided by Magnaflow.
My entire Magnaflow cat-back is clamped on. However, I used a 18" breaker bar to tighten the bolts. Without the extra turns from that thing, the tailpipe just wouldn't stay put.
