The shock doesn't determine ride height...the spring does. So if you have settled, it's because your spring is either broken or settled. I doubt that adjusting it .5" is going to do much of anything. Unless you raise the front more than 2" from the factory setting, the rear will be higher than the front. My initial rake was 1.75", and that is why after raising the front 3", I needed to raise the rear 1" to level it. The front differential drop (1") gave me the piece of mind that I wasn't putting too much strain on the CV Joints.

If I were you, and was going through the hassle of re-adjusting the ride height, I would put them on the top setting. Afterall, that is why I bought that shock to begin with. It might make your wheels look small though. Good luck and check your springs.
