The middle piece under the hood comes off and can be screwed back on when it rains to prevent water from entering.
Now I need to get it painted. This thing turns heads! I've been stopped twice since I installed it yesterday by other Tundras. They want to know who, what, where and how much. LOL. Compared to the old hood, this fiberglass one is less than a quarter of the weight. It's easy to lift yourself, but a hell of a lot easier to install with 2 people. The hood does NOT come with the holes drilled for the grill, hood latch or hood lift shocks. But, the hood has the indentation to where they go. So with a drill, you just have to drill them out. Overall, the install was easy and the truck looks a LOT better.
hi SWEET!
i happen to love scoops. many here hate them, and claim that it looks like a dodge.
whatever bro. it is totally awesome.
good for you.
it's your ride, do as you see fit.
there is always going to be someone that is a hater. forget them, most likely they can't afford whatever it is. or maybe they don't own it, it's a lease, so it doesn't pay to do add on's. LOL
again LOV"EN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gorilla
Thanks guys. The hood definitely looks a lot more aggressive. I actually like the older style dodges and how they looked in the front. I've had Chevys and Fords looking at me with puzzlement. They normally try and rev or showoff. But the hood has them thinking they shouldn't, lol.
Work hard at that group buy discount. I will definitely jump on board as soon as you have it set up. I WANT I WANT I WANT>>>>>so much for the rest of tax return.......

That looks great, I will probably buy one as well. The trick is to find a "GOOD" paint shop that can do a quality job. (especially on Black, since that's my color)
I want too, my wallet says pay mortgage and pay off wife's school loans, and pay off truck, and put money away for a new house, and pay of credit cards, and pay, and pay.
Guess I need to become a bank robber.
It is nice to dream about though.

Looks nice! Did you paint your grill black to match?
VIS should have just made it out of carbon! LOL I bought my carbon hood for my civic for $360. $330 for a fiberglass seems a tad bit high, but then they probably don't sell as many tundra hoods as civic's.

That's the thing, the Tundras are in low demand. I plan on helping change that! I had my grill custom painted black before I put the hood on. The hood will be painted factory white.
