    Default Best Muffler Patch?

Hey everyone have a decent hole in my muffler and am looking for input on best way to patch it. I've seen the different materials at autozone and was wondering what the best is. I will be getting new exhaust soon but had to spend $ on other things first so just looking for temp. fix. Thanks

How big is this hole? 2" or bigger? How temp are you looking fer? Most of the muffler bandages out there use metal strap and a "blanket".

Do you want to seal the hole up? Epoxy? Mesh and fiberglass? Duct tape?

The best muffler patch on the market is a new muffler. If it has gotten weak there other places will soon follow.
At least they have circled the problem.

Depending on the size of the hole, I've patched many mufflers and cats with a coat hanger and brazing torch.

duct tape will fix anything. Just kidding. Depending on the size of the hole you could just simply replace the muffler.
