2001 tundra 4wd light keeps blinking?

my 2001 tundra 4wd green light keeps blinking... I have no problem going into 4wd but when i try and take it out the light keeps blinking however it seems to be out of 4wd.. anybody know what this could be? could it make the problem worse if i keep drivin it? thx

I pm'ed you earlier saying that you should check you diff fluid. Mine was low and it was acting similar to what you described. Look on the front of the diff and there should be a bolt like the rear diff and fill up from there. I'll try to get you some pics of the diff, or maybe someone else will chime in?
