I have an 06 Tundra with a 3 in lift on it and stock tires and rims. I am in need of new tires and want bigger all terrain tires. I have been told i can go up to a 285/75/16 and then someone else told me i could actually go up to a 315/75/16. does anyone have 315/75/16 on a 3 in lift? does it rub?
also, what tires should i get? i like maxxis bighorn but i don't know much about them, never had any before.
Wrong forum to be asking, you should of posted this in the "1Gen-Tundra" forum

OK I put a 3 inch lift on a 2004 D-Cab(Same truck) and put 285-75-16's and there is a very slight rub on the mud flap.
I have a 3 inch lift on my 2005 D-Cab and I have 285-75-16's with no rub excet for on the upper a arm due to running stock wheels with no spacers.
Do you drive a Doublecab or an AC or?
My BEST ADVICE is use the SEARCH function and you will find more info then you can handle

Short answer is 285/75/16 or 255/85/16...both are 33" tires, one's wider, one's narrower. No go on the 315/75/16 without trimming the cab, but this is what it looks like when you're done...pics are pre-LT...1.5" adapters and 16x8 wheels with 4.5" backspacing...the glass isn't necessary, I just don't have any photos handy from before the glass.
so the guy that said a 315/75/16 would work is lying?
Yes. Unless he knows something that no else on this board knows. Or maybe he is just mistaken

You will get MANY answers on what tire to run. But I always loved the BFG A/T. BUT I live in SoCal so no snow and I frequent streets and the desert so I think these are best for my terrain. I here good things about the Nitto Grapplers and Toyo as well as the Revo's ( My experience was different but others love them)
