Default This horn is pathetic

Now let me first start off by saying that I'm not one of those people who abuses the horn. So when I use it, there's a good reason for it. And when I use my horn I want to get the message across that I think that person is an idiot. Unfortunately the stock horn on my 2000 doesn't cut it. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good horn for what I need. I definitely don't want a horn that's going to blow out the windows of the person it's directed at, no matter how much they deserve it. I also don't want to blow out the eardrums of anyone who may be in an adjacent lane with their windows down either. Even though it would be cool to have a train horn or something for the really big idiots, it just isn't practical. I'd like some input from anyone who has replaced the stock pipsqueek horn for a beefier version.

There's a metal muffler on the bottom of the horn. Take a flat head and pry them off both horns. It gets pretty loud. LOL.

Should I find it to be too loud, will I be able to put it back on?

If you remove it carefully, yes.

the 2000 tundra horns aren't the same as the ones in the mod. they're a round disc type. i bought a pair of hella supertones for $65, they do the trick

Yeah I found a clip of a stock 2005 horn and it sounded way better than my 2000. The 2000 is like something out of a small sedan.

Well I can vouch for the Stebel!

I have the stock "low" tone and the Stebel hooked together. If I just tap the horn it's all stock. But mash it down and it's all good!

I am no horn junkie either but today it earned it's money. Honda wandering back and forth over the yellow line. So I give it the little beep, less wandering but still not exactly good driving. So Wah wah and the driver jumped up drove very nicely from then on. The guy in the GMC in front of her stuck his arm out the window and gave me a thumbs up.

IT DOES GET PEOPLE'S ATTENTION!

The 2000 Tundra probably has the same horn that was in my old 2000 Tacoma. Definitely Fisher Price sounding.
