Default Factory spark plugs

Today I changed out my factory plugs. There were three NGKs on the drivers side and three NDs on the passenger side. I just thought it was a little weird. I wonder why.

That is how the older 3.4 v6's were. My '99 Taco had three of each, and so did my brothers '96 4runner. So, I guess they didnt change anything with the 4.0 v6. I dont think theres any reason for it. I remember reading alot about it on tacomaterritory.com when I had the Taco.
