POLL: Is your Tundra rusty? Let's bring our own numbers to Toyota.
This thread is for everyone that has a rusty Tundra to describe their problem, post their pictures. We don't know how many people have called the 800 number, so it would be good to have some numbers of our own to prove that this is an issue.
People have trucks that are sitting in their driveways less than ten years old they can't even drive. Let's help everyone out and get this issue resolved. Tell everyone you know that has a Tundra to post their info here. The more research we have of our own, the more power we have to take it to the media, the more likely we will get this resolved sooner. Toyota says they don't have enough complaints yet, well lets see how many there are.

There's only one that I found, granted that I am new to this board, but, that is largely discussion. I just wanted this one to be purely posting of cases so we could easily get numbers. I will delete if people don't think this is a good idea.
I thought of it because of the news article which stated they didn't know numbers and Toyota was not giving them, so why not make a list of VIN#s with pictures and say, here they are?

Is there a reason for this. Lack of anti rust sealant or piss poor paint ??? Is this happening to 2005-2006 trucks? Is winter time SALT causing this ??? TIA WarDawg

I have an 01 regular cab with 136K, bought in january. I think the truck lived in aine always. The rear cross member was completely gone, which I knew before I bought, but the price was right. I bought a new part and had it put in and now have a great running truck for under $6000 including new timing belt, water pump, belts, idler and tensioner pulleys. The frame rails are rusty but I POR 15'ed everything I could reach while the bed was off. Have filed a report with Toyota. The rep said to save my receipts so if there is a recall, I can get some compensation.
