Default Question on using a Sequoia overhead console (temp, compass, etc)

I want to add a overhead console to my 06 DC Tundra. I have read many threads about it but what I haven't found is which year(s) of Sequoia console will fit the Tundra. I know a 2006 will work but what about older or newer years? And are they all the same? Is a 2002 Sequoia console the same and have the same functions (compass, temp, etc.) as a 2006 Sequoia console?

Thanks,
JP

hi, now how true it is ,i'm not sure. because i have learned alot here. and not to trust dealership's, when they tell you something, because sometime's they can be dead wrong.

you can add a mirror with the compass, outside temp, & map light's. but you can not add the overhead console.
the reason is: from what the toyota mechanic that does all the aftermarket item's does, told me the overhead harness ISN'T wired for that. so it can't be done.

but i'm sure if you knew a great wiring mechanic he could do it.
but it could be timely & costly.

good luck, please let me know if you ever get this done & who? message me.
thank's, & i truely hope you get it done,
gorilla

There are several threads on how to add the needed harness etc. I'm just trying to figure out if there is a difference in the consoles over the years or if they are all the same. I found a 2002 Sequoia console but I want to make sure it has the temp and compass function and is compatible with my Tundra size wise.

i know that the tundra show only temp and compass. the sequoia and sienna's show temp, compass, DTE, MPG and one more i don't remember. i have an 06 sienna one that my sister took out. don't know if it will fit though.

well, since you have it, why not try it.
you can always put back what you have.
just be very careful you don't brake any thing.
have a friend help you. it might be alot easy'er to hold.
once you pull your out, you will know if the wiring is the same.
as far as it fitting, unless you have a moonroof,i'm sure
you can find places to skrew it in to hold.
good luck,
gorilla

I read in one of the console threads that the Sienna meter will NOT fit in the Tundra. I think it is slightly too big? Looks very similar though.

i don't think the connectors will fit anyways. the one i have has power everything. both power sliding doors, power rear door and a moonroof. anybody wants a sienna console?
