Don't mean to offend anyone but you did check tire pressure right? Could be that simple but probably not. I agree with the others, definitely start with tire balance. Sometimes small weights are installed inside the rim with adhesive and one of those could have fallen off. A lot of (if not all) tires are slightly out of round, that's why we need to have them balanced. Some are worse than others.
I have a tire that is pretty bad, the tire guys showed me when they had it on the machine spinning. I have had a slight wobble since installing my current rims that starts at 58 MPH and have been back to my local tire shop 4 times. They used the correct adapter the last two times I went in. The last time I left the wobble was still there but I decided to check tire pressure when I was fueling up. Pressure was off... I had 28 PSI on one side and 40 on the other . After adjusting it felt great.
Unfortunately the wobble has returned but it is very slight. I am going back in. I also have after market lug centric wheels which makes it a little more challenging to get smooth. I believe that is why people get them "road force balanced". I may be next in line for that if I can find a place around here that does it, or I may just go back to stock rims.

I too have the same shimmy but after 2 balancing and replacing all 4 tires the shimmy was still there although i didn't have them road force balanced or balanced using this adapter: A word of caution when replacing tires!
What i did find as odd was last time i rotated the tires i actually used a torque wrench to torque the lugs and the shimmy seemed to be better. I think it might've been a fluke since the torque wasn't much different from i usually use to tighten the lugs so maybe it was the placement of the tires, i dunno. Either way it got a little better. I'd get 'em road force balanced if i had the time but it's not soo bad i have to get it done.
I've had my tires road force balanced in the past, it seems to work well, but in the past I just noticed a vibration, whereas now its a steering wheel wobble.
I already checked air pressure.
The existing tires were not road force balanced, they have been on for 3 years, perhaps they are just wearing out and that is causing the problem.
I'll be putting new tires on by fall, I'll get them road force balanced, seems there are not many tire shops which have the machine necessary (last time, Toyota paid for it at a GM dealership).
Is it possible I have a bent rim?

I've noticed my steering wheel moves back and forth slightly. Usually at highway speeds, seems to go away over 70 mph.
Is it balance or bad tires or something else?
If you get them road force balanced make sure they use the Hunter road force balancing machine. Also have them affix the weights to the outsides of the rim as you will get the best balance there.
I have had the same problem with my 2004 DC. I have had it in serveral times, balance ( Road Force too ), new tires, etc. I have suspected a bent rim but need to get my spare balanced before using that to debug with. The last technician at the Toyota dealer told me it was the steering column needed to be replaced. He said this was a common problem with the 1st Gen Tundra, he indicated his Tundra has the same exact problem and he just deals with it. They also told me that if they replaced my steering column that the problem could return. I'm anxious to get my hands on the shop manuals now so i can see what the heck could be degrading in the column to cause the loose wobble that I am currently experiencing.
