Default Anyway to disable traction control in drive-by-wire

So I have done an engine swap but my throttle won't go ast 27% and I am guessing it is due to the traction control. Obviosly I don't have traction control so I need to get around it.

What do you guys recommend?

2005 tundra motor. Not using the stock auto tranny so speed sensors are different.

You can try to unplug the skid control ECU and see if it solves your problem. If the truck isn't a Tundra (which is kind of what it sounds like) it shouldn't be a problem that it'll disable the ABS.

Big question, what is the motor in? What kind of truck are we talking about?

Haha, no skid control, no ABS.

I will either need to go buy a skid control ecu and use it to disable, or if it is possible have the dealer disable it. It seems that the skid control communicates through the OBD port, from the wiring it looks like that is the only possible way for communication. So there might be a way to permantly disable the skid control.

So I called the dealer and verified that my ECU did NOT have VSC.

So it is one of 3 things.

Speed sensor
Transmission Selector
wrong Accel pedal(don't know if there were any with different resistance but I doubt it.)

Can any of you open the throttle 100% while sitting in park?

What are you using to measure the throttle position....something like a ScanGage?
I'll check mine tonight, but I don't think it'll open very much in park or neautral.

Just a Harbor Frieght scan tool.

So this is interesting, I hooked up the air injection and it made things work a little differently.

Now when I turn on the ignition, I can go WOT. But as soon as as start the engine 20%.

My codes are

P0037 - rear O2 - not hooked up yet
P0057 - rear 02 - not hooked up yet
P0230 - fuel pump control(resistor) - not hooked up yet
P0453 - evap - not hooked up yet
P0504 - stop switch - not hooked up
P0705 - transmission range sensor - not hooked up yet
P0748 - trans solenoid(mechanical transmission)
P0778 - trans solenoid(mech transmission)
P2716 - trans solenoid(mech transission)

found the fix.

1. Air injection MUST be working

2. The ECU needs to know that the transmission is in gear, so no fre-revving these motors at WOT in neutral or park.

My '05 will run right up to redline in park, so I dont think it has anything to do with being in gear, but if you got it fixed, It doesnt matter why! Looks like thats going to be a beast. I had to read the whole thread, very interesting.

you can run it up to redline but the throttle won't be open more than a little bit so it takes a little longer to get there.

Also if you bump it from a gear to neutrel it takes a couple second for the ECU to limit the throttle.
