Hello, I have 2003 TRD and had the tranny fluid changed and see that 4.5 quarts was used for the 4.0 quart change. It does register high on the dipstick, should I drain this extra 1/2 quart? Not sure if it changes as smooth as it should but I may be comparing it to my wife's Avalon.

hi, 1/2 a quart should do anything at all.
it's not like it's coming out of the dip stick tube.

Changing only 4 qts will not do much good for you, unless you do it all the time. I change my motor oil at 10K intervals and at every oil change I drain the tranny pan and add 4 fresh qts. If you have not done a complete tranny flush yet and only did 4 qts, it is not doing much for you.
