Default Tire Rubbing

So, I have a 2006 DC 4x4 with 275/70/17 tires, Bilstein 5100's up front on their highest setting and a 1" block spacer in the rear. My front tires have a pretty significant rub on the upper control arms. I am looking for an easy way to move the tire out, but am only finding tire spacers which provide a minimum of 1.25". I only need to push the tire out about 1/2". I have searched the forums extensively and cannot find my exact problem where only a small amount of movement is needed. Does anyone have a solution?
Please see attached pics.
thanks for all your help!!

those 1.25" spacers are the way to go, and they are not really spacers. they use the existing lugs to bolt on the adapter and then the adapter has lugs to bolt on the tire. those 0.5" or less ones are the cheap spacers that just push out the tire on the existing lugs so the nuts have less threads to secure the tire. I have the 1.25" spidertraxx adapters and have not had any problems with them. Make sure you get hub centric adapters and not lug centric, i used some lug centric adapters for a awhile and caused some vibration while driving down the road. good luck.

Andrew,
Thanks for the quick reply. Does it look bad to only use them on the front, or should I also buy a set for the rear?
thanks,
Eric

If you just do the rear, the front will be aligned with the fender while the rear will be tucked in. I don't think you need them on the rear, you can buy ones for the front and see how they look and then later on add the rears.

here is a picture down the side of my truck, you can kind of see that the tires match the fender well pretty good.

What brand of tire are you running? I have 275/70-17's with no spacers and have no rubbing issues.

maybe spacers have gotten better but they still scare me. if you put them on be sure to check your torque on them every so often.

Those adapters are not like the old spacers where you put a like a ring in between the wheel and lugs. these adapters actually bolt to the lugs then with another set of lugs is where the tire bolts to. Spidertraxx ones are machined very good and come with locktite, but every time yiou rotate your tires just give them a little bump you wont ever have problems.

ive seen them and thats the "gotten better" that im recognizing. i thought pushing your wheels out that far puts extra stress on your bearings and other parts too. i know a lot of people on this forum use the ones youre talking about so maybe its just old folklore.
