Default FINALLY a Tundra owner

Whats up guys. Well, I'm finally a Tundra owner, Blue '05 Limited D-Cab. Just sold my '94 3.slow 5spd w/ 118k on the clock for $5k.

I'm pretty familiar with the forum stuff, was/am a member of TTORA and CustomTacos, but i'm lookin forward to the new world of Tundra owners. I'm also a C-tech at a local Toyota Dealer, so I'm pretty literate on the mechanical and technical end of things

First things first. What are your suggestions as far as an exhuast. I knoow Flowmaster's probably got the market in here, but its a little too "poppy" for my taste. Any price-wallet-friendly alternatives? Perhaps Magnaflow?

Oh, another quick question. How do i get just the little city lights and parking lights to come on without the headlights (the headlights come on, though a little dimmer, with the parking lights switched on always)

Any other suggestions??

Thanks a lot guys, looking forward to learning from all of you.

A lot of guys here do use MagnaFlow, I don't know what your looking to spend but I put the DynoMax catback system on my truck and am very happy with it. It was $225 with a $75 cash back deal so for around a $150 I got a decent exhaust. I don't have headers and this system adds very little sound over stock-thats what I was looking for.

welcome and congrats on an awesome truck. I got a 14" magnaflow single out and dumped it before the axle. I left the resonator and I have no drone to speak of. It sounds nice, kinda quiet till you romp on it....My head lights only come on with the second click of the switch. Someone might have tried a fog light mod and screwed it up maybe. I'd start there. You will get a million opinions on mufflers but I can say if I had to do it again, I'd do it just like this again. Cost me 75 bucks on ebay, brand new, and welded for another 25. My .02 anyway...Enjoy....

I wouldn't do duels without reading all the info available in the search box. Many and I do mean many have spent a ton of money on duel exhaust only to relize they lost power. It is always up to the owner as to what they like but there is alot of info on this subject in the archives. Just type exhaust in the search box and pack a lunch, you might need it....12226 is still $70....

I also have the 14 inch Magna flow muffler with my resonator. I love the sound. Like mytundrarocks said. It really sounds good once you get on it. Highway cruising I can not hear it unless I step on the gas.

Here is a good sound vid that turned me onto the magna flow.

Welcome. as for the lights. do you have daytime running lights? if so you can unplug them with the grey connectory on the fender right beside the battery. Thats what I did then could run just park lights.
