Re: 110 power
yes you do have to worry about airflow but what are looking at running off of the inverter and how long? if just some small equipment like a labtop or small appliance then just a 400/800 rms/peak will be fine under a seat and a power wire from the battery and just ground it to a seat bolt with a inline fuse the size of fuse on the inverter. that 1000 watt one will be fine under the seat also if run for a limited time like under a hour or so, but if your are going to run it for several hours with like a fridge on it then you may have heat problems. that is a good size one, if it were me i would put it in and run 4 guage wire with the same size fuse on the inverter ( if there are multiple just add them together and use that number) and monitor the heat often with a load attached. if it burns your hand within a couple minutes then you have a heat problem, but if after 45 minutes or so and the heat is little warm to the touch you are good to go. I have run several under seats and never ran extra cooling without problems and about the only other place you can run them would be in the engine compartment or under the truck but both have there disavantages with heat and water.
