OK here's the pics, nothing special, it's mostly a stock truck for now.

All these pictures of those bent compression threaded rods tells me to use 4 compressors. It sure looks like there is enough room for 4. Im sure I wont have any issues fully compressing the springs then. Thanks gents!

Yes, that is exactly how I thought I would approach it... if I did it again with that type of compressor. I am not sure you can actually fit 4... 3 definitely. Enjoy!

Wow! Deja Vu. I installed my 5100's this week end and had the same issues. Driver side a pain and the passenger side took about an hour. I considered buying another set of spring compressors so I could use 4 on each shock because these springs were eating up the threads using just 2 compressors.

Hay, their on and Love them.

When my buddy and I started it Sat night both of us were like uh oh they are bending, lets stop. I got on here, found a picture of someone else's that were worse, so Sunday we went back at it and basically the compressors would not compress anymore with the impact, and yes, it ate up some of the threads too.

those compressors are a pain to use. especially because they are usually bent with damaged threads. i used some on a friends bmw, they wanted to slide toward each other. scary. we tried again with three, got much better results. just a matter of patiently goin a little bit at a time on each one. pretty soon im putting 5100s on my cousins crewcab. does anybody know if the spings are heavier on a crewcab than an accesscab? i imagine they are but if not i can save time using my old springs.
