Default Anyone install the lift kit from extremetrucktoys.com?

What do you think about this lift kit (PART # TUN 275AD) for my 2006 Toyota tundra 4x4 double cab from TUNDRA LIFT ? Has anyone had this kit install? If so, what do you think about?

Nope I wouldn't install that. Looks like a cheap junky lift. Had a 2" leveling kit (spacer kit) and all it did was cause my problems left and right. Don't settle for a cheap lift. Spend your money wisely. Get the Bilstein 5100's instead.

Dido what Tundraman10 said. I bought this kit from them about two years ago, look in my gallery most of the wheelin' I've done was with this spacer lift. I got smart and ditched the spacers and replaced it with the 5100's and Camburg UCA's which made a world of difference. You will get the famous clunk (ball joints limiting out) with a spacer above 2inches and a crappy ride. Spend your money right and get the 5100's or an aftermarket coilover, or leave it stock.

got to agree with tundraman and derek and just about everybody who has made this mistake. spacers arent worth theyre weight in scrap metal. bad news for your truck. 5100s are a bit more involved to install than spacers but you know the saying; "you can do it the right way or the easy way." dont get spcers you will regret it. get 5100s or full coilovers if you want the easier install. you will be much happier.

Here is the kicker:

"NO SPRING COMPRESSOR OR SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED"

On a 1st-gen Tundra, that means it will damage your upper ball joints.

Get the 5100 kit.

I didnt think they even made those top plate spacers for 3". That is rediculous! As said, it would be nothing but problems. I have a spacer lift that installs in the spring, which isnt as bad on the ball joints. The ride suffers a little, but I can live with it. That being said, I do plan on upgrading to 5100's or coilovers come springtime. If you are going to get a spacer get one that installs in the spring. You will need a spring compressor, but it is much better on the truck.
