Out with the old and in with the new I tell ya! J/K
I think its like eating out, you kinda go on a binge, craving the same thing for a while and then it wears off a little and you take a break, but eventually the cravings come back. Every one seems to still be around and there are some great new members that do a good job at contributing as well...so its a good balance..

Oops... You are so banned.... Tundrasoul owns and created ts you tool. He is one of the most respected people here. You should really read the fine print next time.... Bye ......
i read. whys he pickin on me? i asked where some members went and hes getting hostile about it. im not here for trouble as he implies, i learned a lot here and want to give some info that i had a hard time finding. whats with the snap judges here? i thought this site was for sharing info, not acting like an exclusive club. if anything, he broke the rules that i carefully read.
MESSAGES INTENDED TO CAUSE A FORUM DISRUPTION AND TO PROVE OTHER MEMBERS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
again, im not here to stir up trouble, but tundrasoul is acting like i offended him by asking where old members went. whats wrong with that question? ive been reading from this site since before i got my truck, its a great site and influenced my decision to buy. i never had a computer at my house till recently, so i used other peoples just to learn. i didnt know that was a bad thing.

And I'm sorry but I'm backing up the new guy on this! If you compare old posts to new ones with technical info you would see the members he named were the ones whom helped out the most. And to scottnmos how does this make him a tool? IMHO the response from tundrasoul was 100% unnecessary
thanks for the support sic402. i have to let it out there that i sent a pm to tundrasoul to give him a little more info on me and also to say sorry for the things i called him. i edited those things out because my retaliation got personal. childish of me. thats not what im here for. i do feel the response i received was out of line but maybe tundrasoul is defensive from years of dealing with troublesome members. im not troublesome and im far from a TOOL. i think tundrasoul had the wrong idea about me. im not here to earn rep points or respect from anybody. who needs it? im here because im grateful for the things i learned here as well as the valuble members i learned from. now that i have some knowledge on tundras, im here to share it with anybody whos in the shoes i wore 3 years ago. dont believe me? check my responses and find out. i hope i can stick around for a while and payback this site for the money it has saved me.

i think the reason not as many posts are being made by these veteran members is because many of the questions/mods/upgrades/problems people bring up have already been covered thoroughly in the past. also as time passes priorities change, also when the new tundra came out it kinda split the website into two distinct groups instead of one big collaboration of knowledge about one vehicle. this is only my opinion and i may be completely wrong, and i love tundrasolutions just as much today as i did when i used to find links to it on google searches before i was even a member. I really appreciate all the veteran members that made this site what it is today. any question or topic i've ever wanted to know about has always been answered or covered previously, this site is full of knowledgeable people who will treat you with respect as long as you are respectful of them. instead of complaining about the little stuff i think we should look at all the good this site has to offer and be thankful that it even exists! i'm not trying to start any arguments, i just wanted to voice my opinion.
The HORSE is dead................it ain't movin at all.......quit beating it......if you are going to go ..............GO..........quit being soooo insecure .........I like your weird attitude (sometimes).......sometimes not.......but it is yours to deal with.........quit blameing others for things you have aggitated.......relaxe go burn one ......or drink a few.........just RELAX AND QUIT BOO HOOING...........
There are a lot of the older very knowledgeable members still here, but as said, just not posting much anymore. I used to post a lot of stuff and I think I solved a lot of issues, but now they are solved. I came here looking for answers, like how to keep my fogs on with lights off on an 05 DC. I ended up reading tons of info, then combining that with my own trials and errors until it was solved. Then I posted it. I still get PMs thanking me for that info and I still get PMs from time to time with questions about my posts, but like many others, I just don't frequent this site that much anymore. It's not because I don't like it, I love it here, it's because my questions have been answered about my truck. Now the next generation of owners are here figuring out new solutions. If they take the time to post results, then new members get their solutions and everyone benefits.
All I can say is if you do have questions for older members with posts that are years old, don't expect an answer the same day however, they will answer once they read the message. If you figure something out that you think someone else will benefit from, take the time to write it up and post it.
I would personally like to thank TundraSoul and this website in general. It has been a wealth of knowledge and information for me and many others.
Where are all the old members? Some are still right here, some stirred the pot a little to hard, and some simply moved on.

If you're looking for information just click on the search icon. Just to give various OPs the benefit of the doubt I've posted a few links of technical significance for queries that have been beaten to death over the years. Whether or not these offerings of assistance are acknowledged is irrelevant, however it does reveal much about accepted rules of courtesy or the lack thereof.
Most veteran members will go out of their way to offer advice/opinions to newer members in an effort to be hospitable and to cultivate new friendships.

I will say that it looks to me that the Search engine is not exactly user friendly. For instance, if you search "fog lights" you get inundated with every signature block that has fog lights noted. I've found that it does take some patience to work the search engine to find an actual post about some questions one might have.
As far as veterans seeming to fade away, I'm already (after 6 months or so) not as gung-ho as I was when i first got my truck. I thinks that's pretty normal for most of the married guys or gals. We do have lives to lead.
After you get your specific issue resolved, you log on out of some sense of camaraderie. TS sorta becomes a hobby in its on right. As With all hobbies, they run hot & cold.

People do move on and get older. Yes a lot of people have contributed to the info on this web site. Some have gotten personal instead of talking Tundra stuff. I am close to retirement and have gotten a lot of info from here. May not contribute much of anything, but learning about the truck is great and worth while. I still like to work on my vehicles even if they are more complicated then years gone by. I would like to thank everyone past and present who have contributed to this web site. It still is full of great info for what this web site is all about - the first generation Tundra. Thanks again to all the contributors.
I guess if i had been having any issues I would write in more but after 124K without any problems I just like to sign on about every day just to look at any new topics of interest. My 2000 has been a very nice truck so far.
