although i just became a member here, ive been studying this forum quietly for a while. kind of like a stalker! what im curious about is a lot of real knowledgeable members seem to have vanished. so where did you go? some examples are V8TOILET, TUNDRAINORANGE, DEVINSIXTYSEVEN, JOE, TMS2U, TUNDRADRENALINE. seems to be many newer members which is good, but i hate to think these guys are lost sources. anybody know? IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE?

I guess I've been around here long enough to be considered an older member, but no longer sign on very often. My problem is that the new format is super slow on my dial-up connection compared to some of the original versions. It also turns out that my '00 Tundra has been a lot more trouble free than I expected, so I'm not on here trying to figure out problems as much as I did when the truck was new. Seems like some of the later trucks ended up having more serious problems such as the ball joints, etc. It's good to see new members signing up and taking advantage of what I consider to be a really neat website. Welcome!

Its the internet.............most people have busy lives, work, family, travel, chores around the house etc.
I used to be fairly active on the internet forums but to be honest I'm bored with it now and have been for a couple of years its a terrible time waster.
While its nice having information at your fingertips finding that information in a sea of BS can be extremely irritating.
I'm not into the networking sites..I guess thats what they are called facebooks, twitter etc dont have time not interested.
When I owned my motorcycle I actually got to meet a couple of guys off the forum I was on that was interesting putting a face to a screen name.
Well thats it folks I'm outta here wasted 1 hour already today....
Gorilla......take a break if anyone needs a break from the internet you do this is not the real world, call your friends say hi to your neighbors, sit down and play a board game with your kids your holding on too tight lol...

After a decade of online time I don't think it's unexpected that some ppl will move on, retire, die or end up in jail. Most of the aforementioned members are still around, they simply browse the forum and post a little from time to time. Considering you're a brand new member and you're oddly referring to members who were around when the site was in its infancy I suspect you're a troll who's probably just looking to stir up some trouble. Did you cut and paste those member names right from the memberlist? Take your innuendo and misspellings elsewhere.

Gorilla everyone knows your story, you're all pissed off because no one will pay you any respect. Please get over it. Jumping on the "what happened to so and so" bandwagon in hopes it will not earn you some friends or sympathy will not be well received.

I think this pretty much sums it up, at least for me. I check in maybe two or
three times a year now. I have my Tundra sorted out and don't care much
about the wife's Sequoia.
Back when we were going crazy performing all kinds of upgrades and the "gen-1s"
were the only generation, it was exciting and fun. Now, the emphasis is on the
new trucks (as it should be).
I plan on keeping my Tundra until it falls apart. I prefer the size over the new
version and it's been a fun and reliable ride. Amazingly, a contractor that was
doing some work on my home a few months back took a liking to the Tundra in
my garage and offered me $28,000 cash - that's more than I paid for the truck
new. I was flattered but turned him down with no regrets.
Interesting post! I think I was here from the start and I have never been banned or hasseled. Though my membership date shows sometime in 2002, I'm sure TundraSoul will voice that I have been here from the start. I think upgrades to the site software caused things to get moved around.
I bought a Tundra the first day they were available at a price over sticker. That was in August of 1999. I have owned many Tundra's, experienced the growing pains and development improvements and currently am the proud owner of a new 2010 DC, OffRoad Package. These are GREAT trucks and I will always do my best to share what I know with anyone who needs help. From buying, servicing and mods, I am here to help.
