Default 4.7 Timing Belt

Is replacing the timing belt on the 4.7 something a reasonably able mechanic can do in about a six-pack?

I've been looking into doing my timing belt as well. Most members say it takes anywhere from 6-8 hours. I helped my buddy do his along with the water pump and it took us about 6 hours. would have been a little less if we didnt misplace a bag of hardware. Depending on how you drink your beer. The two of us went through an 18 pack in the process.....

I did mine over a weekend in about 10 hours total....
Here's a link: Gonna Change The T~Belt.....Today
It's not THAT hard.....just a LOT of parts and nuts & bolts to come off and go back on in the right places. There are a couple of special tools that I bought that you can do without (Crank pulley Holder is one) The FSM is really valuable....
Working at a nice slow and careful pace it's easily a 12 pack and a half pint job!

i did it in about 6 hrs too. If I did it again, it would take me closer to 4. From what i remember, nothing crazy. If your a DIY'er, then should be no problem.
