02 tundra transmission

Well I got my 04 trans swapped in and I put a tru-cool transcooler in series with my factory cooler and a new inline filter. Toyota wanted 3400 for just the rebuilt trans so I found a good 18000 mile 2004 trans for 750.00. I didnt think that was to bad considering that most of the places wanted around 1000.00 for 80-110k miles.

That's good to hear. How does it perform? Any problems or "check engine" stuff?

no the guys on here have been helpful all you have to do on the 02-04 2wd swap is change the tailshaft housing and fluid tube inside from the 02 trans to the 04 that way all your sensors and everything plug right in and it works perfectly

Any chance you could do a write up on all that you've found while doing the swap?

Yhea i could but its just a straight forward swap until you get the trans on the bench then just pull out six bolts from the tailshaft housing and swap the housing over and put the truck back together. Ill do a more thourough write up tomorrow when i get to work if i have time.
