I also like it...considering that the production version of concepts is usually toned down, I think the next Tundra will look pretty good. I just don't understand why they use such ugly colors for concepts (i.e., the interior orange, the baby blue outside, and the plastic-like pieces used under the doors and for the bumpers).
Anyway, I had some time on my hands, so I quickly created my version of the FTX (I changed the side view mirrors, some of the fascia, and the some of the colors):
its another companies attempt to make a new, cool vehicle.I think quite frankly all these new cars designs are looking out of whack.

I like it a lot. It shows the direction toyota is looking into and I'm impressed. After the Titan came out, I was wondering how Toyota was going to up it, this concept shows some bold thinking going on, IMO.

I think today the auto industry sucks on designs. they're going back to a boxy like design. whatever happened to curve? i like curves and the smoothness of cars. I like chrysler in terms of designs ever since they came out with the cab-forward design in 1992. i have always like their design from the start. problem is while the design is fresh there overall quality takes a hands down.
In regard to today's next generation of trucks, i have to say i am disappointed in a few mainly ford. the new f-150 boxy like and boring design (the earlier models looked better), nissan titan - still has a weird look, chevy - is like a rock, please more like fix the front end headlights are way out of place and boxy, dodge - I like the look but the quality still doesn't measure up.
Guys, it's only a concept. It'll look alot better in real production form.
I just hope they don't keep those bulbous fenders. It just takes up exterior width space. I'm sure they'll tone it down some like they did with the tundra proto.

Nor I. I sure am glad I got my DC now. Looks like they have gone from emulating Fords design (97 F150) to merging the new Chevrolet Silverado concept with a current Dodge Ram. At least I don't see any useless toolboxes in the rear fenders like the Titan :-).

I like the idea of the toolbox...of course I drive a truck because it is a truck and not because it happens to be the "in" thing right now.
