Default FJ Wheels on Tundra 2000 - Tire Question

Hi guys I am new here, I just have a question, will tires LT285/75R-17 fit my 2000 tundra with FJ cruiser wheels with out rubbing on the upper control arm, I have a 3" body lift on it. Was wondering if the offset on the FJ cruiser wheel is the same as the factory tundra alloy wheel.
I have now P265/70R-17 on it which works good, but I dont like the big gap from the top of the tire to the fender, I will try to post a picture later.
Thank You for all your help

Gingernut, check here to compare tire sizes. With a 3" lift, you'll be pushing it with the 285/75/17. A 285/75/16 is about max with a 3" lift, and the 285/75/17 is about 1" taller. As for the offset, i recently install a set of 17" FJ wheels on my 4Runner, with no offset or backspace issues, and I also have a set of 16" FJ TRD wheels that I am going to install on my tundra. http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecal...?action=submit

I believe Toyota uses the same specs on all of their 6 lug SUV & Truck rims, so you shouldn't have any issues with the rims themselves but Kanaduh is right 285/75/17 will def. be pushing it... I think you'll have rubbing issues at full turn.

I'm running FJ wheels on my 2000 4x4. No issues with offset. I am only running 265/75/17 on mine.

FJ Cruiser 17" alloy or steel? I run 285/75 17 on the steel wheels and they clear the spindle by a hair. A stock upper control arm would likely cause issues. Photos in my gallery

I can't speak for the 17" alloys because i've never test fit one.
