Default Changed clock spring but horn and cruise still don't work

My air bag light came on months ago. Then maybe a month after that the cruise control went. And finally 2 weeks ago I lost my horn. And since here in New York you need a working horn to pass your annual inspection and being that my inspection runs out on June30, today I replaced my clock spring.

The air baglight went off and has stayed off. But the horn and cruise still do not work. What did I do wrong? Could the new clock spring be bad?

    Thanks for the help,

    Jeff

yes it could be .........or you put it in wrong and broke/pinched it .....as I understand there is a certain way it has to be installed........as the toyota guy did mine wrong the first time and I had airbag but no horn so they did a 2nd one and all is good now ..........dont know if it was tech's fault or bad unit......

    WOW!

You guys had me going here for a minute with this "Clock Spring" issue. I thought for sure you were funnin' me; but no!
I was getting ready to suggest putting some blinker fluid in the steering column and airing up the rear bumper in hopes that would solve the problem.
Good luck with your steering column controls.

Check the harness over very carefully. Use a multimeter and test fer continuity on each wire. Visually inspect the harness fer possible breaks.

Did you check the fuses? How many miles do you have on yer vehicle? Have you tested the circuit fer the horn with the multimeter? Was this vehicle involved in an accident prior to this condition?

Even though it may seem that these events are related...they may just be coincidental.
