    Default Another DRL question

    Hi all,

I have a 2004 DC sr5. I have searched up and down the forum on how to disable the DRLS. Apparently there should be a relay/mod i can unplug between the batt and fender. I can not find it. Please see the pic of my engine bay and correct me if im looking in the wrong place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks againAnother DRL question-img_0172.jpg

In the picture you posted there is a gray harness plug in the top right corner of the pic right where the sunlight is shining. That is the plug for the drl resistor. Unplug it and tape up the ends to keep dirt out of them. If you remove the battery it will be easier to get to.

While you have the battery out you should also clean the battery posts with a battery post wire brush and the cable connectors with baking soda disolved in water. Auto parts stores sell anti-corrosion washers (pack of 2 with one green and one red) that you should put on the battery posts (red on positive, green on negative). Those washers will minimize or eliminate future corrosion.
