Average lift out of OME coils (883, 884, 885, 886).

Post which coil you have and how much lift over stock you achieved and/or your fender to center of hub measurement and I will keep a running average for future reference. These numbers will based on using 5100s on the bottom perch.

Also, the only way to have an accurate comparison is for everyone's measurements to be made from the center of the hub to take out any differences caused by tire size.

For reference here are some stock numbers:
2003 Access Cab 4X4:
Driver Front: 20.5"
Passenger Front: 20.5"

2006 Double Cab 4X4:

Spoke to Toytec today and they have been doing some test using 884s on a 1st Gen Tundra. They got 2.5" of lift using Billy 5100s on the bottom perch.

I confirmed with ARB that they both have the same weight rating, but the 885s are 5mm longer, as posted below. The 885s have a "heavier" duty rating simply due to the extra 0.20" of unsprung length; at least, that's how they are being marketed.

I think you could get away with the 885s on a 1-Gen AC, but running them on the DC might be problematic. According to anecdotal evidence, these coils sag about 1/4" on average on Tacomas. I'd bet that the sag on the Tundra would be significantly higher.

To give you an idea, the OME replacement coil for the 2-Gen Tundra is 16.33" long with a 740lb/in rating.

Are you including the additional heighth from the larger diameter tires in that four inches? My stock 06 DC on 265/70/16 sits 34 inches from the ground to the bottom of the of the flare opening (measured in center of wheel).

On lowest perch. I don't think you can use any perch but the lowest one because the springs are so stiff and long....;-)

04 Double cab 4 x 4 running 285's, 5100's on bottom perch with 886 coils measures 23 1/2 from center of hub to bottom of fender flare. I have a total of 38" from ground to bottom of wheel well.

Do people think it would be better to have the fender to hub measurement instead of total lift?

Cant rely on people having the same size tire. Given tire sizes are usually nominal, not set in stone. One manufacturer's 285 may be up to 1/2" or more different than anothers. Also, tire type may make a decent difference. (ie a 285 street tire vs an A/T vs an aggressive M/T)
NOT to mention differences in weight of the truck and tire pressure, rim width, worn bushings, shocks, etc could have an effect.

Even center of hub to fender may have a few % margin, but I would think it would be smaller than ground to fender.

I don't have an accurate measure. I went from the Daystar spacer lift to the 886, not sure what the stock height was ? Stone is right, measurement from hub center to fender is more accurate. Most manufactures 285 are barely 33" my
Coopers were closer to 34" when new.

Ok here are some reference points for stock heighth truck with stock size tires.

Vehicle info:
2006 Tundra 4X4 Double Cab
Stock suspension
265/70/16 BFG Rugged Trail tires @ 32 PSI

Measurement from ground to bottom of flare:
LF: 34" RF: 34 1/2"
LR: 36 1/2" RR: 35"

Measurement from hub to bottom of flare:
LF: 20" RF: 20 1/2"
LR: 22 1/4" RR: 21 1/8"

I find it odd the the passenger rear is an 1.5" lower on that corner. I know there may be some variances in measurements due to tread depth, tire brand, air pressures, etc. But hopefully from a stock truck stand point this will be a good reference point for everyone.
