I thought it would be interesting to hear from everyone on here on the what features, options,...that you love about your truck (when it was stock) before any mods/upgrades.
Mine would have to be the Captains chairs (the armrest is in the perfect place for me) and the engine (quite, silky smooth power).
i liked the mulit reflector headlight's
i like the bench vs the captions chairs more useable space plus it sit's higer on the armrest vs the other setup..
the tundra is a copy of the former f-150 the dash and the front end crave ford but tundra is more refine and has a better overall value
v8 too was a bigger selling point for me the v6 lacked performance and being the tundra weigh's in more i fealt the v6 was a slow performer...

The smooth acceleration of the V8. So much more refined than anything else was in 2000 when I bought it compared to the big three...
Being an auto enthusiast all my life and having driven nothing but sporty, manual transmissioned cars for over 30 years...I went out on a limb when I shopped for my first pickup truck, as I decided that I wanted to experience at least one truck in my life.
I'll never regret having chosen a Tundra as my first truck. My favorite feature was the 32V DOHC V8 which is a torquey and silky smooth engine. Even an old guy like me digs his jams, so the 3-in-1 stereo system was a 2cool feature I couldn't pass up. I love the leather bench seat with big armrest in the center.
Mine's a LTD with TRD option, so I really like the outside color and appearance features. Lastly, this is also my first Toyota, so I know firsthand after 3 yrs of ownership that Toyota does in fact make high quality products. I LOVE IT!
funny john should bring up the DOHC V8, which i miss as well. my SOHC V8 has 300hp but does not rev as fast as the Iforce and is not nearly as powerful at higher RPMs.
Ryan...
The General may not have a twin-cammer (yet ) in any Sierra, but you gotta admit, that 327 pushrod has one hell of a history behind it and is a proven workhorse whether in car or truck. I base this statement on the countless engineering awards and positive reviews over the years by automotive editors. I can't think of any other engine that has evolved over so many generations.....maybe Ford's 5.0 or 5.4, but I'm not sure.
V8! That little motor has more power than any truck engine of its size. And until Dodge came out with the Hemi (again) it had the same Horsepower as the old 5.9. It's not far behind in HP and torque ratings of the big threes larger engines. Can't wait till Toyota matches them for size, should beat em in power! The 4wd drive rocks too. Way better in 4x than my old dodge or ford ever thought about being. And we traded the captains chairs for the bench so we could haul four kids as needed (my two and their cousins). I love my truck.

Mmmmm before modifications like polyurethane sway bar bushings and rear anti sway bar; that for me would be the supple ride it used to have. It handles better now but I miss that glass smooth ride.
I love the torqueyness of this engine, it feels like a larger V8 than it is.

I like the fact that it doesn't look like crap. No offense to the big three, but I think their styling has really gone down the toilet the last few years, especially the new fords.
I like the locking fuel door. It is much better than a locking gas cap. The locking tail gate is nice too. If these were power it would be even better.
I like the V8 a lot. It is very smooth. Not quite as smooth with the exhaust I have (a bit of rumble through the floor boards), but you gotta love the V8 sound.
I like that the truck was also pretty quiet from the factory. I have since made it even more quiet though.
The 6 disk in dash changer was nice until it broke.
I also liked the ride. Very smooth. It also seems to have pretty good suspension travel for a stock vehicle. Also nice.
The size it good too. Not too big, not too small.

I drove a Ram the same day i bought the Tundra. what sold me was the ride! rode smooth as could be, the ram was bouncing around on everypothole. and you know in colorado there will always be lots of those!! plus i could park the tundra alot easier!!
