Wink fix for sliding window

for those of you, who have the 04-05 tundra, that has the rattle when partially down, here is a fix. first of all, if you have the factory bed liner, it is part of the problem. because it does not fit snug against the front of the bed, it rattles quit a bit. my solutions, was to take the bed liner out, and put some foam padding in that space ( the verticle space between the bed, and bed liner, below the rear window) some of these were poorly molded. that part of the problem, solved. the next step, was to shore up the rear window. if you will notice, on the bed side of the window, there is a small grove, running from side to side, at the bottom of the window( between the window frame, and the rubber seal) the problem is, the bottom seal is not making enough contact against the window, to stablize it. in that grove, i wedged a piece of ( .160" screening spline) in that space. once you install it, it's barely noticeable( i could only find gray, black would make it invisible) for those of you who don't know what, sreen spline is, this is the round seal that holds the window screen in the frame. to reinerate, if you have the liner, you have two jobs. one final thing, when i took out the liner, there were several chafing points, covered them with electrical tape. no more rattling window. hope you guys can use this.

Great tip. Thanks! Although mine doesn't rattle now, you never know what will happen in the future. I'll file this tip away for possible future use.
