How many of you have actually received your recall letters?
I had my recall work performed on 7/25/05 & I still haven't received a recall letter from Toyota. Glad I didn't wait for the letter before getting the work done.
My recall work is being done as I type. When I dropped it off, I was told, none of the vehicles they have performed the recall on so far have had any scarring to the existing ball joints.

I contacted my dealer a month or so back and they told me to wait for the letter. I didn't press the issue because I have fairly low miles, no symptoms, and wasn't too concerned.
Lo-and-Behold ... today in the mail is a postcard from the dealer, not a letter from Toyota. The information states:
Recall # SSC 50J
Description: Certain 2002-2004 Tundra Lower Ball Joint Phase II
So, at least in my case, notification came from the dealer I purchased from. And apparently they're on Phase II of the recall. My truck goes in tomorrow.
I have an '03 Tundra. Just called the dealership closest to my house. They told me to wait for the letter. I have this week off from work and it is the only time I have free time. So I called the dealership where I bought it from (1 hour away) and I have an appt for Friday.
My question is how come some dealerships are willing to work with you and others are not. This is one of the many reasons why I didn't buy from the dealership closest to me.
I haven't received a letter yet and e-mailed the the dealer closest to me and they got right back to me and said to give them a call at my convenience to schedule the work. I am grateful since the dealer I bought it from is an hour away and the cost of gas makes the trip prohibitive right now.
earlier posts in this thread question whether alignment is performed after the LBJ replacement. Per the Technical Instructions for Special Service Campaign 50J Toyota is instructing dealers to adjust and align the vehicle.

However, I was told that was to align to spec. Any specific alignment numbers (like DJ's) would cost me. So I paid, and now I'm happy!
Have any dealers given anyone with aftermarket suspension any problems? I know the dealership I have to go to is going to give me alignment problems at least, but they are the only option within 200 miles. Can't really afford to go anywhere else with gas at $3.15...

They never mentioned anything about my coilovers.
