No truck is perfect wile there at it might as well recall the rest of the pos tundra lineup having braking issues too....I think My next truck is going to be a Nissan tired of Toyota's bad attitude from there service deptment's and bad luck in finding honest dealership's this really affects the outcome if I get a new truck from Toyota or not and if there worth my time..My coworker today was telling me about this recall and I was like Naw Not on my truck guess ill slow down on speeding on curves from now on
Damnit Erik quit screwing around and get a dodge ram already!..lol You know you want one. Come on hemi...it's calling you. Screw the titan..it's ugly inside and out...fake plastic interior and they styling falls short of rental car quality. The choice is obvious..give in and buy a hemi already damnit..lol it's pulls more than the titan and it has more horse power and it looks better. I think you know what to do now. lol

I have a '00 and my lower BJ failed. But I have long travel. I have a feeling they are going to blame me and or not even cover my year Tundra...I sure hope my lawyer doesnt have to get involved with this. I reported the failure to the NHTSA and they had "several other documented cases" so I hope things will pan out.

Brendon,
As nice as the ram look's it really doesn't gain new ground on a few thing's. Number one Dodge styling has allway's remained number one in my book even better then Toyota in some cases however the quality on this truck Is not there period.... Maybe the times have changed but My family hasn't had the best track record on any mopar product period and they have purchased them new too..The only good about them is once the warrenty is up your bound to have issues with them but you wouldnt have that with a Toyota or Nissan..Too sum it up I like jap Quality and Usa built and so far the Tundra and the Titan seem's to be the best currently build and produced for an 1/2 ton full sized truck nobody even comes close ...

Lets keep our eyes on the ball...the safety recall
we can chat when did getting off topic be such a problem?..
tired of being told what to do on a chat this is why it's an open chat and didn't know I needed to practice the freedom of speech amendment which is in the U.S Consitition (look it up and the ts policy for more information)
thank's
I called toyota yesterday and they said they will fix my problem next time i bring it in there for free, i like that..lol Ok were sorry, we'll stick to the topic at hand.. don't want to anger the big bad mods again even though this is an open chat. I mean we are aloud to chat aren't we?..lol

This happen to my Tundra. After I put the Daystar 2.5 spacer. I can heard the "mouse talking" noise when my truck moves up and down. Guess I have to take out the spacer before I bring the truck in for recall.

whoa! mine squeeks funny too after the daystar spacers! i was actually gonna fix it by installing some fabtech coilovers. just haven't had the chance to hook up with TMS2U for assistance.
This release from Toyota details which vehicles are affected and how they plan on reimbursing those who have already had to pay for repairs. Guess I'll be one of the unlucky ones trying to get mine fixed this summer

Thanks for the link JD.
Unfortunately, now "I'm" really ... ?!! THIS LINK (i.e. recall.gov) includes 2004 models, while the OTHER LINK only goes up to 2003 models! What's up with that?!
Initial reports also included 2004 model vehicles. Now, after reading the second link (guessing it's from Toyota), it's saying ONLY (up to) 2003 models? Now the question is... WHICH ONE IS RIGHT?!
Guess like everyone else, I'll just have to wait for that "first class" letter... if I get one... that is?!

question the tundra from 2000 to present still have the same layout up front how does one get on the recall list and certain tundra's arn't affected? Makes no since to me knowing very well not much has changed up there ....
