Default It's On It's Way !!!!!

Hello Tundra Forum,

On 06-27-2005, I posted that I had ordered a new '05 Tundra and it should have been at my dealership 07/09/05 ..... Well, seems as if Hurricane Dennis delayed the arrival.

Got a call today from my dealership saying that my truck "should" be here by the end of the week

Well finally got it last tuesday night. Had to work but drove it out to Bullhead this weekend, got a little dirt on it there, Calico Hills and Cajon pass. Love it. Gotta say it's one Bad a$% truck.

Default New 2006 Tundra

Firts time Toyota owner and got my 06 last week. Already have 726 miles on it. The NAV system is cool. From reading the posts regarding low oil pressure I guess they haven't fixed it the 06 model as mine reads just above 1/4 at 60 M.P.H.

I have the 2005 4wd Double Cab SR5 with TRD and love it. I don't believe there are any changes to the 2006 model. For some reason or another, according to the dealer, Toyota does not send a lot of 4wd's to LA. I had specific "must have's" (silver, TRD, Leather) and my dealer located the a Tundra that was headed to the Port of Houston. About the oil pressure.....I have noticed that the needle points to the 1/4 mark most of the time. Although I have not read my manual from front to back, where the heck is the auto trans dipstick???

Doesn't have one.

No, really, it doesn't have one. Sealed unit, dealer maintenance only.

Hello all!!!

Just picked up my 06 DC LTD Tundra in Spectra Blue this past weekend. Already have 350 miles on it, gonna guess that I'm getting about 15-18mpg. Being in So Cal, not really looking forward to filling up the belly of my new beast (26g tank @ $2.65/gal = ~$70 at the pump), but if I wanted 50mpg I could've gotten the Prius instead, right?!?
I'm already lookin' forward to the mods, got too many in my head and not enuf $$ in the back pocket . Soon enuf...

Enjoying reading all the posts, glad to be here!!!

Robert
