Default How Many DC Owners have a front bench seat?

I had to special order my DC just so I could get the front bench seat option. Regional rep stated that there were only 29 DCs made in 2005 with the front bench seat so far. Stated that there would not be a front bench seat option in 2006. Just curious how many DC owners have a Front bench seat to see if his numbers match up.

while visiting some Round Rock, Texas relatives just north of San Ant. I stopped in at Classic Toyota and was wanting to look at an '05 Texas edition Tundra DC. well they hade one. everything about the TE part was nice but it's front bench seat. I figured it would have captains chairs. so there's one for your count.

I purchased a white 4x4 '05 DC w/bench here in Tulsa, OK, drove a silver one, looked at a blue one. I also found several more within 2 days of Tulsa according to toyota's website when I was shopping, so add 3 more for sure and probably half a dozen at least.

I think your rep just knows that they are somewhat difficult to come by and wants to sell something that he can get easily. just my 2 cents

I noticed that the bench seats for the 2005/6 Tundra are just awful compared to the 2004 and before.. the little tiny armrest that pops down out versus the nice big full section before, that would let you look back into the back seat, and had a large compartment like the Chevys and Nissans. Very disappointed here, because I had wanted a bench before I saw them. Wonder how Toyota could have made such a boneheaded move..

Ditto on the 06 60/40. I have it and hate it for the same reason mentioned above. Looking to swap for an 04 bench or buckets.

I agree the storage compartment is way small. However, the reason I ordered mine with the bench seat was seating for my wife and 4 boys when towing the RV. The front middle is now a full seat with an over the shoulder seatbelt rather than the lap belt prior to the 05s. To me, safety was a priority over interior storage.

I hear ya! I went TRD package in my 06 AC to avoid the bench seat. That was the only way I could do it without special ordering. To me the DC having a bench for 3 person seating works since it's wider/roomier, but it would be a tight squeeze in an AC IMHO. My sales guy (at a volume dealer in NH) said he lost some AC sales due to the seat redesign. Not being able to reach in the back without getting out would drive me crazy (not that I need anymore ammunition. ) I have friends who own pre 05/06 & their 60/40 seat look nothing like the new ones. Possibly this will be addressed in the 07??
