Thumbs up JBA headers ?

Hey guy's I just put on my trd exhaust and I like it but I want it louder. Does anyone have these headers? How do they sound?

Thanks Dave

if you wanted loud you should have gotten a banks ive herd enought complaints of it being loud.
i have borla and jba headers and it borderline any louder and i would hate it.
the borla was from the dealer, adding jba did not make any louder, you just get a subtle header sound, so dont buy headers if all you want is to make it louder

Yes they make it louder, but the best thing you can do to make it loud is take off the resonators. That's what I did, and my truck sounded like a camaro when I sold it.

I had the headers, and series #50 Flowmaster Exhaust along with no resonators.

Do headers really make a big difference on a Tundra? I currently have a Magnaflow exhaust and True Flow intake...love the sound of my truck...not too loud and not too soft. I thought about throwing on some headers...not for sound, but for performance.

Anybody have any recommendations???

Mike

Mike, I have a few thousand miles on my JBA's and can say YES - they make a big difference on a Tundra.
I am very happy with the increased performance the headers provide.
I vote JBA's the #1 power mod for the money.

NOTE: I am running the stock OE cat-back.
I had planned to install a Gibson muffler but decided against it because I did not want to loose any torque.
The more I drive my truck the more that decision is positively reinforced.

Seconded.

They add real kick in the pants power, making it so much more fun to drive. I had headers, a cold air intake, and dual exhaust. The headers after about 1500 miles of breaking in had me sold on the headers being the best mod for $$.

Don't expect an instant gain. It comes with time. 1000 miles, you really notice it, 3000 miles, you have no doubt this is the best mod, 5000 miles.....Well you get the point.

I have an 04 DC and the TRD headers made a huge difference in gas milage and a noticable difference in power. But I am getting rid of the 04 and buying an 06 so my TRD headers are for sale now.

What are you asking for the headers?

Still to come: custom dash kit, JBA headers, exhaust, and eventually custom paint. And whatever else looks appealing!

WHATS BETTER? JBA HEADERS OR TRD HEADERS
WHATS THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO.
JBA ARE AVAILABLE IN TITANIUM FINISH BUT TRD ARE CERAMIC RIGHT?
SO +1 FOR JBA IN TERMS OF THERMAL PROTECTION.
ANY SIMILARITIES OR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO

JBA headers are short tube meaning they are bolt on. TRD headers are long tube and require cutting of the down pipe and welding on an exhaust flange which is supplied with the headers. The TRD headers are SS. I am asking $350 plus shipping. They are in great shape, no rust or dirt. Now, TRD says the headers fit the 2000 - 2002 models. Well, they actually fit through 2004 The only catch is the steering shaft makes contact with one tube on hard right turns and giving it throttle. A hammer in that spot will fix that though. A deffinite increase in fuel milage!
