05 Tundra DC - Vibration/rubbing????
I have been noticing lately that there seems to be a rubbing/vibration coming from the truck. I have no clue what it could be. It seems to be cyclical, and occurs at various speeds but I notice it more at lower speed with everything off and driving straight. I can't tell if it is coming from the wheel or the drive train, it doesn't occur on every rotation of the tire but about every 5-10 seconds. I thought maybe it was a warped brake disc but that doesn't seem to be it. It seems to come from the center to left front of the truck, or at least thats where I notice it because I'm driving. I have listened for it both when on and off the gas. It is pretty subtle so that is why I am having dificulty identifying it and describing it. I have 10k KM on it now.
I gues my best way to describe it is it feels almost like engine braking but occurs like a disc rubbing the pads, but like I said its not in sync with tire revolutions. If I had to guess I'd say it happens every 5th rotation but may vary. I was thinking it may be something in the drive train too. Also it is a 4x4 limited but its not driven in 4x4, actually haven't tried it in 4x4 to see if it still happens.
In any case its in the shop next week so I'll have them look at it. Was just wondering if anybody had a similar experience or any ideas as to what it might be, it bugging the hell out me!!!! LOL
Cheers
